Candidate for Lewisville Mayor

Since senior year in high school, I have been using my voice. I won second place in my school’s national speech and debate tournament. I’ve never shied away from speaking up and speaking out, especially when there’s a problem that needs to be solved. Seeing my dad own and operate a successful boat business for over 10 years in Lewisville, I learned about customer service and work ethic.

I have over 17 years experience in the service and event industry. Working with and for the public is where I shine. Being around people of all different cultures is my forte. I also have 3 years as a Certified Chiropractic Assistant, and 1 year as an insurance billing adjuster. As a former manager for medical offices, I’ve been able to show compassion to the injured and hurt; listen to them at their most vulnerable times while offering hope and encouragement. As a former restaurant manager, I’ve been able to learn how to communicate with the public of all ages and backgrounds as well as work closely with different departments, skill sets, disabilities and language barriers. I’m skilled at being hands on, pushing paper, doing inventory, P&L, orders and performing quality assurance.

As a former bartender and food server, I’ve been able to follow and enforce health code guidelines; and have a kindred spirit with those living off tips. As a current wedding and event manager, I’ve been able to help make memories and dreams come true for special occasions as well as put out unexpected fires and improvise at the tip of the hat. Long nights and early mornings, are no stranger to any of my jobs, and now even more so with having a 10 month old. In the past few months I have found a passion for being a citizen activist. I find Honor, Integrity, Seeking Knowledge and Accountability are crucial for success in life and work.
